1.42pm - 06/05/25 - The coaches have arrived at Heatree.

We are having an amazing time here at Heatree! After an afternoon of orienteering yesterday and a good night's sleep, everyone is excited and ready to go for the first full day of activities! We already had some excitement this morning when Miss Stinson burnt some toast at breakfast and set the fire alarm off! We were so proud of how well the pupils handled it, and we all had a good laugh about it!

We are loving our time here at Heatree. Several groups had an amazing day out on the moor yesterday and even got to see a baby foal being born! They enjoyed the sites and the rock scrambling that took place. The other groups that stayed on site yesterday enjoyed the low adventure obstacles and the high ropes course. 

In the evening, Mr Christopher took a group into the forest for a campfire which included joke and riddle telling! All the children are absolutely thriving, and we are enjoying every minute with them. 

We won’t be posting any pictures this week as the WiFi connection and signal are not strong enough to get the pictures uploaded.  Miss Stinson will put together a slide show to be shared with parents next week once she gets all the pictures from the staff members who went on the trip.

Unfortunately, there is a delay on the expected arrival time of the coaches.   We are not expecting them to return until between 5.30pm and 6.00pm.   Currently, we are unable to provide any more information but will update parents via ParentMail if we hear more from staff on the coaches.

We have just heard from the coaches (4.25pm) and their estimated time of arrival back at school is 5.45pm.

Please can we ask that you do not park near the entrance to campus, in front of the youth centre or Verwood First School as this is where the coaches will need to park.   We also ask you to be mindful if you are parking on the roads leading to school ensuring that you leave enough space for the coaches to safely get through.
