Emmanuel Middle School is looking for a versatile and well-organised Admin Officer to support our school office staff in the smooth running of the day to day operations of our school office and to take responsibility for the administration and supervision of the school library.

The successful candidate is likely to have previous experience of working in a busy school environment and/or be able to clearly evidence relevant transferable skills and abilities from other business areas.

Key tasks will include:

  • Welcoming and managing visitors to the school
  • Updating pupil and staff data, accurate record keeping and producing reports as required
  • Handling of payments from parents, and updating records accordingly to include the financial aspects of the ParentMail system.
  • Placing orders for the school in accordance with school procedures
  • Dealing with all invoices received
  • Ensuring that all orders received into school are correctly distributed
  • Liaising with staff, students, parents and all other stakeholders/outside agencies as necessary
  • Dealing with situations of a sensitive/confidential nature
  • First Aid
  • The supervision and administration of the school library

Site Manager – Grade 9 SCP 19-25 (£24,799-£28,785 pro rata)

Wimborne Academy Trust is looking for a Site Manager to start as soon as possible to take on responsibility for management of the two Verwood schools’ campus (to include Emmanuel Middle School, Verwood First School and associated buildings). The key responsibility is to ensure the safety and maintenance of the school buildings and the implementation of Health and Safety legislation and to plan, organise and inspect all works relating to the general site management.

The successful candidate will have relevant supervisory experience in a senior caretaking or related post and have a detailed knowledge and understanding of health and safety, risk assessment and avoidance, manual handling regulations and handling of hazardous chemicals. The school Janitor will be unlocking school so the Site Manager will typically be working 33.45hpw between 8.30am and 6.15pm on a split shift basis.  Occasionally some out of hours work may be required for school events etc.
